The Global Coalition on Occupational Safety and Health will contribute to the practical implementation of the commitments that have been made in the last decade in global forums such as United Nations SDG, G7, G20, EU OSH Strategy etc. to protect the safety and health of the workers of the world. The idea of a pragmatic global coalition was first proposed at the XXI World Congress on Safety and Health at Work (Singapore 2017), by the Finnish Minister of Social Affairs and Health.
The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the Chair of the Steering Committee of the Coalition. In the Coalition there are also representatives from the European Union (EU), the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) and several states from all Continents, including Chile, Croatia, Iraq, South Africa and Portugal. Also, the World Health Organization (WHO) will be participating as an observer.
